Withdrawal / Right of Withdrawal

At usedpartsabc.com, we prioritize transparency and customer satisfaction. In accordance with European law, private customers are entitled to a 14-day withdrawal period, allowing the return of products if they change their mind. This right applies exclusively to private individuals and not to companies.

Important: All costs related to installation, seals, fluids, labor, and any associated work are the responsibility of the Buyer. UsedPartsABC.com covers only the replacement or refund of the product itself if eligible under law or these Terms.

Inspection and Installation

  1. As we primarily deal with used car parts, proper inspection and installation are essential.
  2. All items must be installed in a professional workshop. We recommend local dealerships or certified mechanics with proper tools and expertise.
  3. Proper installation is crucial to verify eligibility for withdrawal or warranty claims. Improper installation may void the right to withdraw.

Product Images and Part Codes

  1. Customers must carefully examine product images, descriptions, and part codes before purchasing.
  2. Visible defects in product images (e.g., scratches, dents, paint mismatch) do not qualify for withdrawal claims, as body parts are meant to be repainted.
  3. Products sold via part code will be delivered according to that code. Visual differences from images do not qualify for withdrawal, as parts are sold by code, not appearance.

Used Parts Risk

  1. By purchasing second-hand parts, customers accept the inherent risks associated with saving on repairs.
  2. UsedPartsABC.com is not liable for any costs related to installation, repairs, or additional expenses incurred during or after installation.
  3. Customers must carefully consider the product description and condition, and may contact customer service for verification. Parts sold as non-functional or with existing damage cannot be claimed under warranty.

Salvage Yard Markings

  1. Some used parts may have salvage yard markings or engravings.
  2. Tampering with these markings voids the right to withdraw.
  3. For questions regarding these markings or claims, customers should contact customer service.

Exclusions from Withdrawal

The following are not eligible for withdrawal:

  • Labor, installation, or service costs
  • Consumables and wear parts
  • Visible damage or defects present in product images or described in the product listing
  • Accessory items included as a courtesy (e.g., free bundled items)
  • Products altered or installed without following our installation guidelines

Order Dispatch and Cancellation Fees

  1. If the order has already been dispatched to our sorting or central warehouse, cancellation is no longer free of charge.
  2. Refunds in this case will be 75% of the product price, with 25% deducted to cover transport and handling costs already incurred.
  3. This applies if an incorrect shipping method was selected or withdrawal occurs after dispatch.

ECU, Electronics, and Modules

  1. Returns of engine controllers, BCM modules, comfort modules, computers, sensors, fuse boxes, or similar electronics are accepted only if installed by an authorized service center.
  2. Proof of correct installation (invoice, service report) is required to ensure proper installation and verification that prior faults were resolved.
  3. Breaking seals or first-use tampering of electronics voids the right to withdraw.
  4. Sales of new interfaces and electronics follow the same terms as authorized service centers; no refunds are possible in such cases.

Engine Assembly Instructions

The following must be followed without exception; deviations require written consent. Failure to comply invalidates any withdrawal or warranty claims.

  1. Replace timing and all seals, including seals where screws are not typically removed (oil pan, valve cover, control module seals).
  2. Inspect peripheral components: oil coolers, turbochargers, injectors, and similar parts must be in good condition.
  3. Install the engine in a qualified workshop following manufacturer instructions. Workshop invoices and detailed records may be requested for claims.
  4. Perform diagnostic checks before installation to identify previous failures.
  5. Do not open marked screws without prior written approval.
  6. Replace the following to prevent further damage: timing drive, oil cooler/heat exchanger, oil control valve, oil filter housing, injectors, spark plugs, all fluids, and filters.
  7. Inspect and clean turbochargers, intercoolers, intake systems, injectors, ignition coils, high-pressure pumps, and the EGR system. Replacement may be required if condition is uncertain.
  8. Inspect intake channels and connections for foreign materials.
  9. Perform oil pressure build-up test before the first start. Crank the engine without ignition to ensure oil reaches all parts. Document as video for warranty purposes.
  10. Clear all error codes before starting. Allow the engine to idle 5–10 minutes; avoid high RPMs.
  11. Perform leak test and inspect seals. Conduct a slow test drive, then change oil and filter after the first 1000 km, documenting as required.

Costs and Liability

  1. When purchasing a used engine, all tasks including removal, installation, and replacement of components are the buyer’s responsibility.
  2. Costs for labor, seals, fluids, or any installation-related expenses are not covered by UsedPartsABC.com
  3. If the engine fails and the warranty applies, we will replace the engine or issue a refund. Installation costs remain the responsibility of the customer.
